     @sun It's originally intended to slow down platoons or companies of men, not individuals. Although it can also stop individuals if packed tight enough.

     @sun I don't think it's for area denial but moreso to slow or encumber people so as to make it easier to shoot them and slow or stall an advance.

     @sun It could also be the case that the razor wire in question was just very poorly deployed, and had exploitable gaps in it, I can't say.
