I like to use ethernet, so I used this to configure a OpenWrt router to be a wireless bridge. That way, I can remove the wireless card on my main machine, and use ethernet instead.
Annoyingly, I only get about 100Mbps on the bridge; might just be a limitation of the processor on the router (TP-Link Archer C7), but the actual wireless connection is about 1Gbps. It will be investigated.
