@libreleah Weird, seems to me like bridging should use a lot less CPU than a full routing, NATting and firewalling access point. I have a ~similarly specced 802.11ac access point that has no trouble handling 1Gbps wired and 400-500Mbps wireless.
tldr: their main concern is privacy and they consider embedded sponsor segments ethical.
