I ended up switching back to my old wireless bridge for now - which consumes 10x as much electricity but gives me 400mbps on the bridge. The old bridge is a ThinkPad X230 running a really lazily configured debian. AX210 wifi.<\/p>

I'll revisit OpenWRT at a later date. A low-power device would be nicer, for this purpose.<\/p>
