     @jeffcliff @thendrix I had this discussion with some friends recently. It's somewhat dishonest for musk and trump to claim some of this is waste when really it's just stuff they don't want to spend money on, but to be fair if you told some of this stuff to normal people they wouldn't want their money spent on colombian trans rock operas or whatever either

     yeah this is basically what's happening
     is there's a whooole bunch of stuff that the US government is spending money on that would take time to explain to someone and possibly some economics/other stuff to explain it but ...normal people ain't got time for that so will just make snap-judgements about it
