     @sun @Alex he does seem to be marketing to the alt-right. i've seen a couple takes where he's very ungenerous to the speaker, though i'm also prone to trying to see people as reasonable :neocat_woozy:

     So many people have been lumped into it that it appears to have gone from a hardcore "white identitarian" movement in 2016 to "big tent non-left" where all former moderates and default liberals end up after being ejected from their space by the left.

     Trump 2 has actually done a lot to mainstream the online right. Vance and the Thiel-approved influencer circle might not touch the JQ or overt racialism, but they lift a lot from the far-right and the gap is so much smaller between the two is so much smaller than when the Boomer Right was still ascendant. At this point the main gap between the mainstream right and far right is that the mainstream right wants to carve out exceptions for their brown wives and mixed children.
