   Y'all I'm pretty sure the reason GNOME is removing the foot isn't "more minimalism"- I'm pretty sure it has to do with wanting GNOME to be less culturally problematic for some regions: https://wiki.gnome.org/Engagement/FootAndCulturalIssue

     I'm pretty bad at religions but I think I'd know by now if muslims would have something with gnomes.
