Where's the tape go? My computer doesn't have the right hole.

You have used ones from $40-$100, from a quick search. That's not bad, but I don't know what you would consider too much, besides the obvious needing to do some level of diagnostic and maintenance.

How expensive is a decent one on Ebay?

Probably too much, better to source facebook marketplace and or thrift stores.
People on ebay try to ride the "vintage", "retro" wagon and slap big prices on things. Your average joe trying to clean out their garage says twenty bucks.

Facts. I miss my VCR, my ex took it in the breakup and I no longer own a CRT television sadly.

Nothing will ever beat the goated 90's anime industry in America. Best voice actors, they understood and appreciated the art and culture of Japanese OVA. I can't express in words how cool the anime section of VHS tapes at Hollywood Video in 1998 was. The artwork on the boxes alone was amazing.

Wait, so they're fucking with subtitles too now?
Good thing I don't care for much modern anime.

Crunchyroll has been severely messing with subtitles for a long, long time. :gura_pain:

I have bad news from researching. There are no alternative translations to Crunchykike's Bocchi the Rock subs because the current state of Western otakudom is absolutely shit. At best you have a couple of encoding groups who added romaji subtitles to the OD and ED and re-stylized the subtitles and "fixed" some "typos", i.e. didn't change any egregious mistranslations and embellishments.
Western Otakudom is dead. All hail Ironic Cancer Weebdom! Be right back. Preparing my long and arduous journey to learn Japanese.
