a judge's edict does not overrule the executive branch.
trump has control over the executive branch hiring, firing and spending.
congress has legislative.
they decide how much those departments can have, not how the executive spends it.
judges are under judicial.
until there is an unconstitutional act, the judicial can't legally intervene.

@Koropokkur Right, but the delay is the point - they are trying to throw wrenches in his plan and the judge saying that the two parties should confer on the matter is just a nasty delaying tactic.

@pepsi_man @BroDrillard There are some smarter people that would rather keep limited power than let idiot judges like this pretend like they run the show.
The question is do those smarter people have any sway in 2025.

Sooner or later Trump will have to start ignoring nonsense from judges. Sooner would be better.
