   God I think I need to take a break, just been getting a lot of hate for something that I'm generally trying to improve and make safe for people to use. FML try and do something positive and it get's thrown back in my face.
   
   I can't do anything right, things aren't worth doing and I shouldn't try making anything better, especially the Fediverse.

     @sam This has been happening for YEARS on this site.

     Just last month @rolle got bullied into shutting down FediOnFire, which was just an aggregated "public timeline".

     Starting to REALLY resent this place.

     @BeAware@social.beaware.live Yeah, people hate what i'm trying to build with Fedicate, Just makes me want to leave everything. Like what's the point. Trying and do something positive, make it easier for people on the Fediverse to report super bad actors, but also make it easier for new people to the fediverse to find instances or information (what I was going to work on next) and people just hate you for it.
     
     Like I just want to log out of everything including life at this point.

     @BeAware@social.beaware.live @rolle@mementomori.social I think it's because those people don't want the Fediverse to grow. In the end of the day all I was doing was putting out PUBLIC INSTANCES and PUBLIC PROFILES into an easy place for people to find. LIKE WTF, I could do the same by just following everyone. It just looked better on an actual website.
     
     Maybe I just need to ditch the idea of creating something like that and just build my information center for the Fediverse Info like I was going to do as the next part of the site or just forget the whole idea. These people aren't worth creating a good place for.

     @sam facts. At this point, I feel like I'm on the verge of shutting down this instance and going back to BlueSky and Twitter.

     The good people here keep getting fucked over by the assholes that keep harassing developers trying to build on an OPEN protocol.🤬

     @BeAware@social.beaware.live Worse bit was my whole system was manual, so it wasn't automated an had to reviewed.
     
     I love this system but I think I'm going to have to start just focusing on instance stuff and block those assholes from my instance as it's just not worth it anymore. I love the Fediverse but it does test me some days.

     @BeAware @sam Internet is full of dipshits, the Fediverse is no different except the small voices are louder. After the whole ordeal I received a lot of positive feedback and it made my heart melt. There is more good than bad in the world, that is something I choose to believe. Let's not give up. Otherwise they'll win. Bullies should go away, not the bullied.

     @sam @BeAware @rolle there are a lot of busybodies on the Fediverse. Without knowing exactly what you were building I would hope you are not discouraged by those people. The whole beauty of this place is its built on open protocols which allows all kinds of innovations. We should have more of them, not less. Even, heaven forbid, businesses.
