     People exchange labor for money, so they can do things like hang out with their friends and family. It beats doing a lot more labor to growing/raising/slaughtering/harvesting your own food. ... Slavery is not being able to chose who you exchange labor to .. and also not exchanging that labor for money.

     @djsumdog @GNUxeava There's a difference between exchanging labor for money and being a wage slave.
     
     You are a slave to the wage, rather than any particular master.
     
     
     The government ensures you can't choose to grow/raise/slaughter/harvest your own food even if you want to, unless you have a bunch of money.
