   what if it made people think you were trans? how would that make you feel?

     @quinn @jbaggs okay but I’m not asking people to actually do it. It is a THOUGHT EXPERIMENT designed to get you thinking about your own feelings around transness

     and honestly that you’re working so hard to NOT think about it is part of that experiment

     now just look at what that’s telling you about yourself

     @jbaggs @tillybridges i could see it being taken as highly disrespectful or dishonest to a lot of people. I wouldn't want to be even perceived as a disrespectful imitation.

     @tillybridges if it was the only pin I'd feel deceptive and insincere. If it was part of a bunch of buttons and it was clear i was supportive and not trying to pretend im not cis, that would be great.

     @quinn lots of trans people only have the one though. the point is that on its own it sends a stronger statement, and a lot of cis people are uncomfortable with the thought of someone thinking they’re trans. the point is to get people to examine that
