   @druid @feliks @vitalis @nerthos He's not really known for his high integrity. He goes where the money is and considering the first KCD was I think out of money at the end, or very nearly there, he probably did this to secure more funding.

     @druid @feliks @vitalis Basically but there was no mention of any of that during development and release of the first. And it's impossible to trust someone who hires campus jannies into the studio to do thought policing.

     @nerthos @feliks @vitalis I haven't even looked it up, I just automatically assumed that all the people who made the first game great have been fired and replaced with skinwalkers who hate video games, because that's what happened to every single western dev lol. Mmmmm I love Blackrock money.

     @nerthos @feliks @vitalis Didn't they say Henry was only unable to make homosexual choices in the original because of budgetary constraints? The, uh, "same devs" who argued (quite correctly) that even the witches in their setting would have "believed in [the Abrahamic] God in some form?"
     
     I suppose it might be true. Would be interesting if KC1 had let you pursue a sexual interest in men but gave you a religious neurosis if you did it, and made you ostracised if you were discovered. Kind of like how if you play a woman in Mount and Blade nobody takes you seriously and you have to work harder to build allies and prove yourself.
