@tyil @icedquinn Unfortunately, at the moment the only thing keeping a lot of free software free is copyright.
Unless the plan is to execute every employee or board member of every last proprietary software business and everyone who has ever released proprietary software, the world wouldn't end up in a better shape without copyright without any other changes. -

@icedquinn@blob.cat Yes, that's how its always been. Copyright was a mistake, and the system should be done away with. Public executions should be held for those who abused the system once it's abolished, just to make sure we leave the world in a better shape.

@tyil @icedquinn Maybe, but generally you would describe one better system and then note that such thing would make copyright redundant and eliminate any reason why copyright shouldn't be eliminated in favor of that. -
