   @ai6yr @cvvhrn I've always wondered when does something transition from "rubbish dump" to "midden" in archaeology. 🙂

   (seriously, middens and pits can tell us a huge amount about how people lived in the past, especially now we've got lipid analysis and other tools to tell us what was being cooked in pots we might find - intact or in pieces)

     @ai6yr Nice find! last time I saw a pull top was at the Barker Ranch in Death Valley. The steel body puts this in the early 1960+ perhaps. Who knows, that could have drank by Manson himself but not likely lol

     @cvvhrn LOL "Charles Manson's Litter" -- I do believe that is considered a part of the landscape on NPS land, anything older than 50 years goes from being "trash" to "historical artifact" (do not remove/etc.)
