You have Die Hard for Christmas. I have God of Cookery for Lunar New Year.
Best scene all around (also, even today if you see a dish called ‘Sorrowful rice’ in a Chinese restaurant it is 100% from this movie)

@artcollisions haha it is the god of cookery (1996)
@skinnylatte omg, what is this movie? What year did it come out? It feels like late 80s/early 90s. :D
@Shivaekul it’s very slapstick but it really captures the spirit of the southern Chinese world in the mid 1990s
@skinnylatte I was not aware of this movie, that scene is amazing and now I have to watch the whole thing!
@chunshek indeed :/
@skinnylatte
We didn't know it back then. But that movie was near the end of the golden age of Cantonese movies! 🥲
@skinnylatte is this the Steven Chow movie...?
I love his movies. so awesome. Now I want to rewatch God of Cookery. I don't think I have it...!
@draNgNon yep. One of his earliest hits. Way better than the stuff later
