    @KrajciTom @mekkaokereke @pixelnull A simple unit analysis reveals that the unit energy per degree is inversely proportional to the amount of joy created.

    Where does it all go then? You're telling me the energy just turns into sound or friction or heat and is lost and that this sum total lost energy is 'chaos', that this is all there is to 'entropy'?

    Nay, nay. It has to go somewhere, and the concurrent generation of joy fully explains the energy loss.

      @whknott @KrajciTom @mekkaokereke

      exactly! finally someone gets conservation of joy-energy!

      when we say energy is 'lost to entropy' what we're really measuring is its transformation into pure chaos-joy. that's why genuine laughter feels warm - it's literally entropy manifesting as joy

      this is why the most joyful moments are often the most chaotic - they're highly efficient joy-entropy converters

      therefore: the laws of thermodynamics are actually just the universe's way of ensuring that chaos and joy remain conserved quantities

      this is basic thermohedonics, really
