     @kaia yeah, my "must obey" trigger really stuck, as did the safety suggestions. kinda crazy how well i clicked with him, we both found what we were looking for: i found a kind and understanding dominant who knew how i ticked, and he found a willing and capable sub with seemingly very few techniques that don't work (in my case, phantom touch)

     @sun @sampo yes! there's a lot of misconceptions about it, and i assume you're talking about the fetish, because things like clinical hypnosis are a bit different. you get as much out of it as you put into it. some people just don't like the feeling of not being able to fully control their actions, some people find it really exciting!
     
     at the end of the day, even if you're into it, you just can't be forced to do things you don't want to do. i've had plenty of times when i've been snapped out of trance by a suggestion that i didn't like the sound of

     but yeah. i would say that the main thing you need is trust and connection with your hypnotist. skill just helps get you into trance quicker, even beginners can have a lot of fun. like just bringing brought into trance for the first time was a great experience for me

     @sun @sampo i mean it depends. if you're both into it, yes. but you can say the same for any fetish that really turns a person on. in my case it's probably my #1 fetish, so i get a lot out of it. some people don't like it, which is fine. you can do a lot more with just good foreplay, communication, and finding your partner's erogenous zones than with just a fetish
