     @bronakins @TheTepidEmperor @GottaLaff you can't login to the bridge. That's not how that works.

     The only thing that the bridge does, is send your posts to BlueSky and IF someone on BlueSky bridges their account to Fediverse and interacts with your posts, you can see them, interact with them, and follow them.

     You can't interact with Bluesky users who haven't bridged nor can they interact with you. The account that's created on BlueSky is just a mirror of your Fedi account, you cannot login to it.

     @bronakins @GottaLaff I followed. Got an immediate follow back and could read Empty Wheels Bsky posts. Maybe as this account is new the follow back hasn’t worked?

     I used the bridge to Blue Sky a couple weeks ago to follow Empty Wheel & it worked just fine—I pressed follow & Empty Wheel was on my feed.
     But when I tried to follow other BlueSky accounts, it asked me to sign in or sign up. So I tried to sign in with my bridge user name as I understand it: bronakins.mastodonworld.social.ap.brid.gy but it asked for a password.
     Help — what am I doing wrong?

     You got the follow back?
     Maybe do search for Empty Wheel & look for bluesky account. There are some EW bots as I recall—look for the one with the big following.
     Not sure—is this right? Anyone?

     Follow it & accept the follow back.

     Ps—I did this & was able to follow Ty wheel there but not many others
     Most want me to sign in & im not sure what my sign in is for my brd.gy account. Maybe others can help

     👍🏽Absolutely!
     So @emptywheel.bsky.social went to the trouble of bridging with the Fedi, probably cuz she was already on mastodon.
     The others I’ve tried to follow without success migrated to BlueSky from threads, so not clued into the Fedi.

     nope, DMing @bsky.brid.gy with the Bluesky username that you want to bridge, will send them a DM asking them to bridge. If they do, then you'll be able to follow them without ever signing up to BlueSky.

     If you’re talking about interacting on BlueSky, it sounds like unless a BlueSky account has permitted the bridge (like @emptywheel.bsky.social ), you have to go to the trouble of signing up for a BlueSky account separate from your new & old mastodon accounts.
     I got to follow EW & I’ll live without the others.

     I’m also unable to link to this account from my news alerts in some cases. What a mess. So I have to hand copy/paste over.
