     A friend of mine read this and said it wasn't all that useful; maybe it would have been impactful in his 20s, but in your 40s it's basic shit you should already know.

     Probably perfect for the OP though. Maybe better would be Go Set a Watchman, which deals with guilt by association, listening to people you don't agree with and the freedom of speech.

     I've got both 12 rules and the second one another 12 rules. The first is OK. Yes it's basic shit. But it's good to have a good understanding of the basics. The 2nd one is incoherent dog shit.
