     mostly a case of get a list of random every day carry crap, an their measurements, put in to spreadsheet. then get a couple weird things (something a specialty worker carries, like guns for merc shit, coffee mugs, one or two laptops), and a couple obnoxious things (planes, cars, trains) just to establish what the size of some normal life shit is.
     
     then i'm just going to curve fit the size classes to this. we going 1980s simulationist tabletop here. :comfystoner:

     @miscbrains @Vo i think the current model was something similar to CDDA. some combination of the dimensions has to fit inside the bag to qualify, but then we just add up the cubic millimeters for capacity
     
     i'm not sure if this is still how it will work when i get off my ass and compute size classes. there are some tricky parts to size and mass in general because sometimes low mass is an advantage and sometimes its not

     @Vo @miscbrains i don't think players are actually going to get access to the point buy store. it might be something for approval-only designs or something.
     
     i think it would be cool if players opened their own gun stores selling optics and shit but where there is a point buy (esp. if PvP gets enabled) there is minimaxing and that gets truly obnoxious
