@nixCraft @pixelfed That's survival bias, friend. If efforts to suppress information are successful, by definition we don't know about them. We don't have good examples, possibly because they don't exist, but possibly because they do.

When are corporate overlords going to learn about the Streisand Effect? Any attempts to censor and suppress information always backfire and lead to the info becoming even more widely known to others who would have ignored or not searched for it.
