     Newbies have a hard time to choose an instance. They don’t know what to choose and why those choices. And they say it’s slow. (Too many new users I guess.)

     @dansup @pixelfed First, thx for all the work, I can only imagine the pressure you’re under.
     I find the media editor uneasy to turn on ( a bit hidden)
     When I use it, i think the pic should fill the whole height of the frame so you just have to slide it left, right or zoom in to reframe more.
     Once reframed, the preview pic before posting still has a vertical look (not square)
     And for the life of me i can’t post a reframed pic if I add hashtag ( or maybe text in general?)

     @dansup @pixelfed I want to recommend the app, but the login is very confusing and when editing my profile it constantly redirects to a Chrome tab. Many social media users are not thech savvy, so all this can be frustrating and might drive them away from the app. Other than that, I think it looks promising as an alternative to the mainstream social media services atm. 🖖

     @dansup @pixelfed I'm guessing the insta import is paused on the .social server until things mellow down? I may have oversold that as a feature to some friends I'm encouraging to try pixelfed.

     @dansup @pixelfed I made an account yesterday, and was wondering why my Mastodon.social user shows up as a different user and if there's a way to use it under the same user or merge them somehow
