     @rednikki It's pretty surface level for us Trader Joe's truthers (lol, I can't stand them but I also can't deny that they are cheaper than the competition on many aspects)

     but it's a good message to get out that the greenwashing and racist things are kind of part of the company ethos

     @Adventurer every place has issues really. I post about TJ’s because I think people really fall for their greenwashing and organic washing and ignore the problems especially with how they treat people poorly (they joined Elon’s companies in union busting recently). Ultimately I think shop from what makes sense for you in your personal situation.

     There’s a worker coop I prefer going to in sf but I also struggle with how they promote woo woo homeopathy

     This is so disappointing.

     I am new to Trader Joe's, maybe about 2 years. Now I don't know what to do. I am definitely not going to whole foods.

     I did notice a whole bunch of people carrying their bags but didn't realize it was a trend and thought the people were reusing.

     @Adventurer the only one I know of in east bay is Mandela.. near downtown Oakland

     Over there I like Berkeley bowl. Also has some issues with workers rights but by far the best selection of everything. I barely have to go to Asian groceries if I go there for bulk food and basics and other items.
