   im curious about how long people here have actually been using fedi for even? cuz even though I use fedi for what I (personally) consider a long time, I'm sure a lot of you will say that's not long at all. (I have been on fedi for around like 6 months)

     @micr0 2017, I think? Started on mastosoc as lots of people do. Moved to fosstodon, for a couple years. Discovered pleroma in... 2019? Spent four years on freesoftwareextremist before running my own instance.

     @micr0 2016-2017 was when I really finally started to finally understand that corpo social media was just a big fucking plot to suck up data to use to sell ads. I'm ashamed it took me that long to figure it out. In that same span I deleted a dozen accounts, including 20 year old facebook and google accounts, removed the last Windows machines from my network, etc. I only wish I had done it sooner.

     But I only joined proper on 2020, on fse, then moved around.
