   Asking to be part of a Bluesky starting pack was a mistake. After a few months my account feels flooded and kind of empty ironically? It's weird. Or maybe I just don't like it as much as here since I've curated my mutuals here over time.

     @binarydigit I have nearly 500 followers on there because of a Starter Pack I shouldn’t even be in, and almost no one even talks to me on there. I’m kinda over it.

     @keenan I asked to be in the pack, but that brings up a good point - there should be a way to confirm that you want to opt-in to a pack! I think it's just automatic right?

     @binarydigit My own experience is that Bluesky doesn't have the interactions that can be found on the Fediverse. It also has a clear moderation problem that has made it a deal breaker.

     I learned too that with social media in general it's better to have a smaller number of mutuals that you enjoy interacting with instead of having a high follower count number. As an artist I used to be worried about that but I see things differently now.

     It's mixed, but the good here can't be found elsewhere.

     Considering what is about to go down with the world, now is a good time to put petty differences aside.
