fucking wild. cant imagine having fire insurance canceled on my mom a week before a freak, 0% contained uncontrollable wildfire with no water from hydrants because the reservoirs weren't filled
some of you guys are much more patient men (and women) than I would ever be

@A39IsTOZ8SJIr2oM2y.graf@poa.st Turns out the fire insurance company always end up cancelling the insurance coverage if it's clear that a massive fire is going to happen.

It's been hard to get fire insurance anywhere in California since the LNU fire. A lot of companies have significantly increased rates or pulled out altogether.

>Planned mass insurance fraud
It's Lucky Larry Silverstein and United Healthcare all over again.
Gonna bet when the next Luigi appears and pops a CEO of the fire insurance companies.

@graf What in the unholy fuck. Gonna hold my tongue so as to keep you from getting a call from the fbi, but the insurance agencies as well as the Cali fire mgmt aught both be thankful I don't have family caught up in this. Whether they drop dead because of someone else's family is none of my concern...

@Heil_Honkler @graf I can only speak from a life insurance perspective but I can confirm the underwriters and actuaries do look at a lot of different variables.
Was anyone ringing the alarm bells about the resovoir being empty a few months ago?

@graf well insurance companies DO look at forecasts and if they see a perfect storm, like drought, high winds, etc. they will pull shit like that. tbh they should be lined up and shot but wont happen.
