   #writerscoffeeclub January 6th: What’s your current writing project? How’s it going?

   Just handed in the final draft of "The Regicide Report", which hopefully means the last book in the Laundry Files will come out in early 2026.

   Just started the third draft of "Ghost Engine", the new-old space opera I've been working on since 2015 (now 10 words into the edit pass), and doubled the size of the plan for "Starter Pack", the book after that one.

   An unusually productive day!

     In other Laundry news: Audible have just cancelled my preorder for the audiobook of "A Conventional Boy", citing "Delayed Indefinitely" (Big River still have it listed for purchase, of course.) Ah well, the hardcover should (Ha!) arrive tomorrow and I can read that. 3:O)>
