   I don't often boost every post in a thread. But I did this one.

   An element that horrifies me, is the failure of Congress to act, and yes, I mean Mike Johnson. Yes, that Mike Johnson.

   If he is not going to pull the US out of this position of being the overt bad guys, then the rest of Congress needs to deal with the Mike Johnson, problem.

   Time to apply consequences to the people who are not performing their constitutional duties as counterweights within the balance of powers.

   #writerscoffeeclub January 6th: What’s your current writing project? How’s it going?

   Just handed in the final draft of "The Regicide Report", which hopefully means the last book in the Laundry Files will come out in early 2026.

   Just started the third draft of "Ghost Engine", the new-old space opera I've been working on since 2015 (now 10 words into the edit pass), and doubled the size of the plan for "Starter Pack", the book after that one.

   An unusually productive day!
