@KeepTakingTheSoma Where I grew up in England we had quite the collection Clive plus, John Entwistle, Roger Moore, and the worst of the bunch Kajagoogoo
@RoboftheVolcano My late other half had a few claims to fame: He once bought Andrew Motion a scotch, he wrote a theatrical review for Art Malik in rep, and he nearly hit Tom Sharpe on the head with a frisbee. My only claim to fame is that for two years I rented a room from Douglas Adam's grandmother. Don't diss Kajagoogoo (well, not too much). I'm an eighties girl at heart.
@KeepTakingTheSoma@RoboftheVolcano Nanny Ogg, who really lives in Kent, used to go drinking with Wurzel from Motorhead. We now have Fish living up home, another with stars in his eyes, turning the bloody place into his own personal playground 😑 These people rave on about how it's great and like what they used to know, some of them anyway, we also get utter twats who never knew anything good in their lives, from both ends of the social scale, but don't cotton on to the fact that they are now helping to erode it. As for the Runrig boys they belong there and are just ordinary, as fans besieged their late mother!
@HebrideanHecate@KeepTakingTheSoma Most people in the Music business where I grew up in England were normal people, iWhen I lived in Sherman Oaks CA . It was totally different but with a few real surprises, the main one was Charlie Sheen he was totally fine but some of the assholes who were hanging out with him were total sacks of shit. In Hawaii now and nobody cares.
