Linux nerd can be agressive sometimes. It's the lack of gaming on their platform i think -

@Folklore @Doll @Frank @bonifartius @PurpCat @Decayable @DickJohnson @Formerly_Trucks @Sui @phnt @ins0mniak I don't even like Linux that much, I just hate the San Francisco Data Cartel and I can't believe that people keep feeding them for the sake of VR waifus. ✙ dcc :pedomustdie: :phear_slackware: likes this. -

I don't think anyone was mad at me, or even really speaking to me directly. I just get dragged into their TEDtalks. I don't mind, I just put the kettle on when they get riled up.

@bonifartius @PurpCat @Decayable @DickJohnson @Doll @Folklore @Formerly_Trucks @Frank @Sui @phnt @ins0mniak I mean rolling out an image with the Slackware packages on it, some of which had to be compiled, some of which had to be configured, and some of which were fine as-is. -

@p @PurpCat @Decayable @DickJohnson @Doll @Folklore @Formerly_Trucks @Frank @Sui @phnt @ins0mniak interesting, by assembling you mean repackaging/extracting other distributions packages?

@bonifartius @PurpCat @Decayable @DickJohnson @Doll @Folklore @Formerly_Trucks @Frank @Sui @phnt @ins0mniak I had to make the image I flashed, but it was mostly assembling rather than compiling. Some of it had to be compiled. -

This feels like the opening question for a gotcha, but I'll bite anyway.
I run CRUX. Built from scratch (because they didn't support x86-64 when I first switched and I've been building it myself since then), including the ARM cluster that runs FSE and the A06 DevTerm. There are a few loose Slackware systems around, the RISC-V DevTerm, the media server. Most of the machines I sit at exist to run drawterm to talk to the Plan 9 systems.
Before I hear the retarded and inevitable "Yeah, but most people aren't going to compile CRUX from scratch!" I haven't recommended that to most people; I usually suggest Slackware or Devuan.
