     I understand not hating China because, as a Marxist myself, it's important to give critical support to AES countries, even countries that have undergone capitalist reforms like China, but Russia is a purely capitalist country. What reason is there for a Marxist to not hate modern Russia?

     Okay, that makes perfect sense. We should support them as an ally to the international socialist movement even though they aren't socialist. Thanks for the thorough explanation.

     @Radical_EgoCom Also, even though Russia is a capitalist government, it has nationalized most of their key industries and it keeps nationalizing more and more. It is also being influenced a lot by the Chinese government, and I hope that it keeps being influenced by it a lot more in the future.

     @Radical_EgoCom It is a close ally to AES countries in BRICS (in which it is a founding member) and the closest ally of China alongside with Iran against USA imperialism in their respective regions. It has a military pact with the DPRK in which if any of them is attacked the other will send military personnel if requested. It has developmental programs along with China for African countries in which they have several times forgiven their debt.

     @Radical_EgoCom They are pretty much the only ones selling oil to Cuba which was running out of oil to farm its land, which was causing tons of internal issues. Overall, Russia is a strategic ally for a multipolar world due to all of its natural resources and its willingness to cooperate with AES countries due to a shared history with them and because it has also always been oppressed by the west.

     @Radical_EgoCom It also realized that the West will never see it as an equal so it has no choice but to join the anti-imperialist block. Not to mention that the main contradiction in the world right now is US imperialism. Hating on anything other than US imperialism is just a way to divide the left. If Russia fell to the USA tomorrow, the leftist movements in the world would have an extremely tougher time and BRICS would most likely be dissolved.

     It's more to do with the fact that Russia and China are the biggest supporters of socialist countries in the world right now and are the biggest enemies to US imperialism, which is the biggest threat to socialism right now.

     The argument being made by The Dialectical Communist is that despite Russia being a capitalist country, it should be supported because they are one of the largest supporters of international socialism in the world.

     @Radical_EgoCom @TheDialecticalCommunist We can't seriously be talking about capitalists supporting socialism? You should know as well as anyone that this idea is nonsense. They may be an antagonistic force against the US, which is an asset to consider in some circumstances, but I'm not going to support Russian imperialism just because I am against American imperialism.
