   @hannu_ikonen My stepdad is dying, slowly and painfully from a rare cancer that disproportionately affects Indigenous ppl (so obviously cracker medicine has no answers for him) and mom, who is extremely poor is taking care of him; we're hitting end phase, and I'm scrambling to find money to keep a bank from taking her house and help take care of HER. I want to say the world burned me out, but no, it's a slow death in the family and finding money for my Mom/worrying about her living situation.

     @hannu_ikonen I mean yes, I've been sick. Yes capitalism has got me down. Yes the world is fucking awful.

     But all of those things are usually true; what's stopped me cold is this end of life crisis for my stepdad and the fact that I have no ability to take care of my mom unless she agrees to move in with me after he goes - which she will not do.

     It's all very bad. And I'm just trying to stay upright until the worst passes. I can't write because of all that.
