   I'm writing a 2025 goals blog post. Then I'm going to sit on it a bit because my goals are probably too ambitious. Individually, none of them will be difficult. Taken together though, it's a lot. The gist though is doing things a lot more intentionally.
   
   How are you thinking about goals for 2025? I don't mean, what goals are on your list. I mean, how are you going about coming up with goals, planning them, holding yourself accountable for them, etc.

   (If you are not, or you hate goal-setting or otherwise want to shit on the practice, sit this one out.)

     I do goal setting a little more loosely, I guess. I have a running list of things I want to do, to accomplish, places to visit, bands to see, etc.

     The running list was a concept introduced by a speaker at a conference I once attended (long story).

     I didn't understand the value until I bought tickets by myself to see the Beastie Boys on my birthday. I even dragged along an ex-bf to the concert. If I hadn't done that, I would have never seen them since it was their last tour.
