     Mass amnesty is extremely unlikely. The whole migration scheme is souring everywhere; this isn't 1980. We are currently at the point where H1B which is the "good immigrants" is being litigated ( and being blown out of the water )
     
     It's possible that H1B won't be totally scrapped, but the fact that this fight was provoked before Trump was even in office is telling of how the situation is.

Far more often it’s the case of events forcing reform-minded elites to act rather than them being masters of foresight over their own destiny. it also usually…doesn’t end well for such people, so at least we have that to look forward to 🍻

At some point they will need to resolve to either take power away from their enemies or resign themselves to running a gas station in Russia, or whatever the likes of Edward Snowden and Assad are doing.
