     @alex @neil Alternative approach is just immediately throwing the ones that don't pass basic tests in the trash before you accidentally pick them up again.

     @kel @alex @neil This is environmentally shit, but the sure way to avoid the frustration is to buy in bulk an assortment of different lengths and terminations, all at maximum current capacity spec, then just throw away every cable that comes with a device.
