   Looking for someone with Japanese "cultural literacy" to answer a question…

   I got this super cool card holder in Japan. It holds like an IC card or bus pass. It feels cool to slap on the bus card reader.

   There's two spots at the bottom that look like they're for filling in a name. I'm trying to figure out what would normally go there if I tried to do it "realistically". Google thinks the top is like product name (For the card? Or for me? Am I the "product"?) and the bottom is manager name?

     @mcc Google lens say the top is "Product Name" and the bottom is "Management Number."

     @mcc I wonder if it has to do with worker harassment in Japan. I've found a few articles talking about changes to work name badges due to customers using the information to harass workers by looking up their info online. Apparently it used to be common to list full name and a picture, but that laws are being put in place to not display a picture on badges and just list a last name and a manager contact.

     @Infoseepage @mcc you can't use that as a name badge for work, it's just a fun IC card holder for fans of the show.
     Name badges are issued by work and match your uniform.

     @GuyDudeman @soycamo @mcc Nerv is a sort of global defense agency established to understand and fight Angels using giant human pilots biomechs. And yeah, the who series is chock full of religious imagery and archetypal religious themes.
