So...I just got this tweet over at the MusKKKyBird s(h)ite from someone who decided to lash me out for my crowdfunding for survival funds. I am posting this here because I figure that there are folks who believe as he does that I'm just an "manipulator" who is only "begging" for the LOLz.
I responded to him/her there, but I will also do so here as well, just to clear the air about my crowdfunding.

The reason why I am, as you put it, Human, "begging every fucking day", is because my situation is dire enough to require me to solicit every day for essential funds to survive. Utility bills and rent do not stop being owed, even if you have no regular income because your insurance company decided to use their bureaucracy to cut off my sole source of income back in January. Also, I don't get one cent while my appeal to secure Federal disability...

...is being processed. Until I can secure those funds, my only choice of paying those expenses that keep a damn roof over my head and keep me from being homeless out on the streets, is relying on crowdfunding and the generosity of strangers. I don't do this for the laughs or the game; it's my only means of survival for now.

Trust me on this, Not So Human....if I were able to return to work, I would gladly do so, at the very least to avoid the type of ridiculous judgement and faked outrage you leveled at me. However, that is not possible because of my medical condition and the orders of my personal doctor. I would rather not go back to work too soon and risk falling to the floor from my chronic dizziness after two hours on the job.

For your info, I actually do not "expect" anyone to donate to my crowdfunding; in fact, I accept the fact that everyone has bills and expenses and that they have their own needs. I do not put guns at people's heads. Nor do I spam them. Everything is transparent and open; and I make damn sure to thank every one who does decide to make a donation or at least boost my efforts. Why would I do otherwise when I am so up against it every damn month?

I'm not going to knock you in any way for attempting to get out of your debt; but at least you have income that allows you to maintain some bit of essentials. I don't have that advantage; I am 60 years old; 2 years short of the minimum age of eligibility for Social Security; and I cannot work right now due to my medical condition. I am applying for disability funds, but red tape and delayed bureaucracy is in the way of me receiving those funds.

The "thousands" that you allege that I am "manipulating" from my willing donors actually go exactly where I said they go: to pay my rent, the utility bills, other basic needs, and purchasing food. I don't drink and I can't drive; hell, I can't even walk two blocks from my house without risking dizzy spells. Do you think that I am wasting that money on drugs or booze?? Really??

Why in thee HELL would I violate and abuse the trust of those who willingly donate to me out of kindness and generosity?? Why would I risk putting myself out onto the streets by lying and deceiving people who trust me enough to send me their excess funds? Do you take me for a damn fool?? Or, is it simply the same old tired bullcrap of loving to watch other people suffer worse than you have?

Still, if you are that exercised over folk like me incessantly "begging" for survival funds, there is an easy answer: Provide us a decent safety net so that our needs can be met without being forced to solicit in the first place. Not everyone can "get a fucking job"; elderly folk and disabled people should not have to resort to crowdfunding for basic needs to begin with.

Until we get to that place, however, people like me have no choice but to rely on the kindness of strangers who have the empathy to understand our plight and, if they have the means and the will, provide some means of support to keep people afloat. There should be no means or morals tests to mutual aid or social support. If you can't handle that, then that's on you. No one put a gun to your head to give up your money.

I can't tell you how to think about my crowdfunding, and I am not going to waste any more time and space worrying about what you think. All I will say and do is thank those who have the kindness and generosity in their hearts to donate to my situation or even boost my cause; and to apologize to those who may be offended by my incessant "begging".

@AnthonyJK @WeirdWriter While I can see why many people would feel like this is suspicious, I see that what you are going through is genuine. I myself can not afford to donate but I will henceforth, boost your cause. Have a good Christmas.

I acknowledge that there are scammers everywhere who do take advantage of people's kindness and generosity. I do my damnest, though, to be thorough enough to avoid them.
