    Amazon is flooding striking workers at DBK4 in Queens with freezing water in sub-zero weather, endangering everyone.

    If you can, please do not shop at Amazon right now.

      @davidaugust Are they required to protest outside their facility? Would PR pressure be more effective than shouting at their building and employers?Why not walk through the highest foot traffic areas of the city with their signs? They don't even have to shout slogans. They don't have to block traffic. Increase the # of eyes on their plight. Make themselves more difficult to target with freezing water and raw sewage. Organize a billboard in the highest vehicle trafficked area? Just spitballing.

      @SimplySarah "They don't even have to shout slogans. They don't have to block traffic." Yes, they do.

      Clearly, they are in a location Amazon does not like them being in; otherwise Amazon would not be attacking them with water and sewage.

      The gas & oil subsidies does not even include the cleanup costs of their superfund sites.

      The Cancer Alley in Louisiana alone is going to cost billions.

      @dashrb @Npars01 @davidaugust
      They get federal subsidies correct? Oil and gas have been getting them for decades? Why?

      "How much does the US subsidize oil and gas?
      It's not just the US: according to the International Energy Agency, fossil fuel handouts hit a global high of $1 trillion in 2022 – the same year Big Oil pulled in a record $4 trillion of income. In the United States, by some estimates taxpayers pay about $20 billion dollars every year to the fossil fuel industry. May 3, 2023"

      @lin11c @Npars01 @davidaugust I’m not supporting it, just explaining it. I hate it.

      Building a factory? The company gets incentive offers from multiple states, each wanting the jobs to be in their state. It says on the graphic that Nevada offered 1.3B to Tesla. NV thinks that if their citizens have jobs, then the govnr/legislators will get re-elected. Getting re-elected matters more than being fiscally responsible.

      Taxpayers are buying their own job.

      @Npars01 @davidaugust
      Why are any of these companies getting a dime of taxpayer money if they make tens of billions in profits every year? Explain it to me like I'm in kindergarden, meaning no BS about "markets".
