#WritersCoffeeClub 21/12: Disney is making a musical animation of one of your stories. How well does that go?

I'd like to see then try that with "Equoid"—

    Wait, OH NO:

Is nothing sacred these days?!? (But I'll give the producers of "Death of a Unicorn" points for casting Richard E. Grant, who would be my choice for Angleton.)

I should point out that Withnail & I is not for those of a delicate disposition.

SPOILER!!!: Most of the trailer, I think.

Possibly a 'Knives Out' with unicorns, so I'm here for it.

It's good to see Richard E Grant passing on scenery chewing (edit: and scene stealing) duties to Will Poulter. The A24 people know how to cast.

@TonyJWells @cstross The trailer looks great — we're looking forward to the movie. Richard E. Grant is not a name I recognize, so it's time for me to hit the IMDB.

Best known for the cult 1980's movie Withnail & I. set in 1960's student London and the countryside. He's been in a a lot of films and TV though, always worth watching, I even liked him in the Spice Girls movie.

@TonyJWells @cstross I checked him out on the IMDB. I suspect he's big in the UK, but not the US. Which is OK.

@thorne I won't be able to help you, having seen virtually no TV/movies made since 2000 (and precious few from the previous century).

@cstross The struggle to not start a Laundryverse casting call, Simon Bob Pegg, is almost overwhelming.

Hugh Grant is a good choice for Angleton, though I have his performance as an Oompa Loompa in “Wonka“ stuck in my head, which creates some cognitive dissonance. I have always pictured Angleton as played by Charles Dance, who has that ascetic look I associate with fanatic counterintelligence entities.

@SpeakerToManagers No, my headcanon is Richard E. Grant.
