@MechaSilvio @LouisConde @Ghislaine @deprecated_ii @jmw150 @billiam the point is that modifying food as a tradeoff for health is something european people have been doing for a long time.

"The Western Diet" refers to white flour and refined sugar, amongst other things.

There are also questions of if preserving meat causes increases of cancer. ( There is an interesting bit of data on I think pork eating germans and cancer )

Thus america has just continued in this vein, so to deal with it you should understand where it comes from.

@MaleGoddess @MechaSilvio @Ghislaine @LouisConde @billiam @deprecated_ii @jmw150 yes, there are many ancedotal cases of people that have gluten allergies being fine in europe. All wheat ground in the US has to have niacin added .. people have wondered if this part of the problem.

Given what is now coming out about fluoride, it is worth investigating on a large official scale.

I remember reading a post from a woman who vacationed for two weeks in Italy, ate nothing but pasta the entire time, and lost weight. Anecdotal, but still. Go to Europe, the % of fatties to normal size people is way way different.

They're doing something to American food.
