     @SuperDicq @kaia he chose a piece of hardware from a vendor that has well known quirks and very little market fragmentation. There's plenty to criticize linus for, but that seems like a reasonable choice if you want to run through testing changes on a stable enough platform without hardware config edge cases taking up lots of the time you could be using on work.

     1. you should dogfood your own product, for many reasons.
     2. for less money than a mac you can get a laptop from a vendor like system76 that is not as featureful as a mac desktop but very stable for the things you mention.

     @SuperDicq @kaia @slash In the context of the discussion I thought ppl meant he was running MacOS. I see nothing wrong with running Linux on a Macbook. I switched to Macbook because my system76 laptop started having problems, and I figured that Asahi would get working on it sooner.
