I have had several explain how they would try to take a knife away from an armed attacker while they themselves are empty handed (do not try to do this, ever, unless you are backed into a corner or trying to save a dependent who cannot escape)

     The Tueller Drill, a self-defense training exercise, says that the average bad guy with an impact weapon (like a knife or club), can cross 21 feet in about 1.5 seconds. Which is roughly the same time the average person can draw a firearm from a holster and put two shots on target.

     I know a guy who started a fight in self-defense without fully knowing that the other punk. This friend got his arm slashed and could have gotten worse wounds if the fight was not broken up.
     
     That fight taught us that it does not take much to do damage to the body, with the right tools, and to avoid entering close contact with a hostile guy with a knife, because you will NOT leave unscathed.

     @SuperSnekFriend @WilhelmIII @sickburnbro I need to find the Australia (?) video but essentially there was a shitskin brawl in the metro where a large burly individual (hulking and probably 6'2" or 6'3") advanced confidently on a smaller opponent who palmed a blade. The big guy swung a fist and missed; his adversary moved in and scored a natural 20 neck (carotid) hit before running. All of a sudden the big guy is stumbling around with claret spraying everywhere, his white t-shirt gets soaked within 5-10 seconds, holding his hand to his neck does nothing, he gets woozy, falls on his ass, then his back. Eyes at this point are unfocused.
     
     He didn't make it. Fortunately, no White people were harmed in the making of this video

     The ONLY person in this empire with constant protection is the president. Everyone else is just one too many habitual trips to their favorite spot from a grave. Add the old saying about who needs to be lucky and the odds get even worse.
     
     If a group of people want one person dead, they're basically fucked. There's almost nothing that can be done to protect them short of total erasure of their existence and removal from society (EG witness protection type stuff).
