Xenotar (xenotar@mastodon.social)'s status on Monday, 16-Dec-2024 04:07:57 JST Xenotar @Greengordon @godpod I lived through the polio years, I was lucky to have received the Sabin vaccine in 1962, but I had countless elementary school classmates who survived the disease but were left with serious after-effects. I think it is a tragedy that current generations disregard this terrible disease and refuse to vaccinate their children.

Greengordon (greengordon@spore.social)'s status on Tuesday, 17-Dec-2024 01:54:38 JST Greengordon I actually have a very relative who had polio as a child and was crippled for life - she has one dead leg, basically. She is an anti-vaxxer because her preacher tells her so. 🙃
