    *Libreboot T480 and Libreboot 3050 coming soon* on https://minifree.org/ - they are the ThinkPad T480 and Dell OptiPlex 3050 Micro, with Libreboot pre-installed.

    I've now discontinued *every* computer product currently sold on minifree.org:

    * Libreboot T440p/X230/W541 (T480 to replace them)
    * Libreboot 9020SFF (3050 to replace it)

    Libreboot is the free/opensource BIOS replacement I maintain:

    https://libreboot.org/

    Working on current orders first; new products to launch within a few days.

      @RL_Dane Yes, you can use flashrom, which is in OpenBSD ports, or compile the newer flashprog.

      To use flashrom/flashprog, first you boot boot OpenBSD with kern.securelevel=-1

      See: https://man.openbsd.org/securelevel

      Libreboot recommends flashprog these days, which is a modern fork of flashrom lead by Nico Huber, though you can still use flashrom if you wish.

      Dang, I remember when Libreboot didn't support anything past a Core 2 Duo.

      So nice!!! <3

      P.S., Does flashrom work within #OpenBSD for updating #LibreBoot, or do I need to use a linux boot usb? This is for my X200. Thanks :D

      @RL_Dane I should note that building lbmk in OpenBSD is currently untested and assumed broken; certain utilities handled by lbmk may still compile, so for example it may be possible to use the ./mk inject command, though the latter is not required on X200 images anyway (no additional vendor files needed).

      Simply running flashprog is supported in BSD however. I have BSD lbmk testing on my long-term TODO plans; perhaps this will be covered in my next audit (expected to begin in early 2025).

      Also, I've been offering current T440p customers (who I'm working on shipments for) to upgrade them to the T480 at no extra cost. Same goes for anyone who hasn't paid yet for their current T440p orders.

      T440p was discontinued yesterday. T480 will launch soon, to replace it.

      The T480 is a much nicer machine, e.g. NVMe SSD, nicer CPU, and I'll ship with 32GB RAM by default (64GB RAM is possible).

      Much more modern machine, though it looks superficially similar to T440p. Also charges with USB-C.

      @libreleah

      How much are you charging?

      I recently got myself a P50s on eBay, it's nice having more modern power but I'm getting back into the territory of doing my daily computing on hardware which has that damned intel ME
