     @Gnomeshatecheese It is very sad he feels that way about himself. But it's fucking disgusting he feels that way about me and other childfree women. He can fuck right off with that shit.

     I miss old radical feminism, that connected misogyny with women's reproductive labor. I need real feminism right now.

     @Gnomeshatecheese I was arguing with a middle-aged male friend who has no children. So he's not being smug about him having them and me not; he's being a jerk about "alas I shall never have children, anything else I accomplish in life is meaningless" and I'm like thanks, dude, for implying my life is meaningless also, and he's like "well it kinda is."

     @ninapaley Ah, so sadly no space for out-ruthlessnessing him.

     There is the "in the end, they will all die alone and will be nothing but dust scattered in the wind", but that packs less of a punch when the discussion goes that way around.

     Although... now that I think of it.
     There's always the "oh, how very sad you feel that way about yourself". You know, channeling the passive-aggressive, covertly superior, middle-aged woman.
     I mean, it probably won't make him stop, but it might be a fun card to pull.
