   I get the distinct impression that people who idealize the French Revolution don’t really know much about history and don’t care to learn.

   It’s become romanticized as a glorious and utopic display of autonomy and freedom when in reality it was chaotic, bloody, and paved the way for a despot to take over.

   Anyone read Dickens? Do they teach this in colleges anymore? It’s free.

     @SnowshadowII The world is shifting right almost everywhere. Some people get upset when you point out the one person who is associated with all of it. But that same person is behind social media disinformation, media manipulation, and has connections to…the gun lobby.

     What it will take for people to finally get this, I do not know.

     @SnowshadowII Learn from history or be doomed to repeat it. Not like France is a model of progressivism even as we speak.

     But stuff like that seems to be beyond anyone’s comprehension as well.
