     @Suiseiseki the emacs-like bindings I do know are what keep me from doing vim mode I'm bash. Control w, a, e, all are muscle memory

     @prettygood@socially.drinkingatmy.computer okay i have done this with zsh using a plugin. i cant go back, being able to use vim binds to just smack around text feels rly good

     @amelia I try to keep my bashrc to a minimum for just that reason. I still wind up copying it onto half of the boxes I need to touch because I have decades of embedded muscle memory that at this point is just reflexive.

     @amelia I never had a reason to use anything other than bash. Some people say bash is "slow" but like, by what metric? Your contrived benchmark? Who cares...
