libvirt kept crashing on me I gave up. My computer is not super beefy either, it's just a i5 6 core with 8 GiB of ram. -

I actually had Ubuntu installed on this PC for a week. I'm not a noob, it was super custom with low latency audio and Reaper. The deal-breaker, show stopper was that my windows plugins that I purchased (specifically Serum and the Shadow Hills Master Class compressor) had GUI glitches and errors, no matter what I did. And I followed the yabridge github to the tee and even had a crash course in wine and winetricks and winecfg and multiple wineprefixes, dxvk and still shit was broken. Maybe wine is good for gaming but wrapping plugins, not so much. However if I only used Linux native plugins it would have been a nice experience. -
