@PurpCat @Morghur Chris Chan's crazy mother and enabler dad is what turned him into an insane person.
Now with his kid it's going to be Chris Chan as the crazy father and the mom will be the enabler. It's like poetry and it rhymes

What if his kid goes 180% the other direction, fines Jesus and turns into the next Billy Graham-type Christian evangelist?

@J @PurpCat @Nudhul I think the explanation is pretty simple. It's parents having kids later and later in life due to not being able to afford it and career ambitions. The longer you wait the more likely it is to be a potato.

@Nudhul @PurpCat @RustyCrab I think a lot of "autism" is just people's brains not forming properly in childhood due to the historically unusual conditions we live in. Most of it would go away if we never looked at a screen.

@J @PurpCat @RustyCrab i think my mom has undiagnosed high functioning autism

@J @PurpCat autism isn't genetic so it actually might

@RustyCrab @PurpCat I think it is heritable but it's nowhere near 100% so yeah it would be an interesting outcome if a normal kid had to deal with a Chris-chan dadmom.

@PurpCat What if it comes out normal?

@RustyCrab @J @Nudhul @PurpCat It's important to the extent that once someone chooses an identity based around a problem, they will identify with all associated problems in this identity even if these aren't actual problems they have, which leads to them becoming maladjusted through lack of practice rather than lack of capability.

@RustyCrab @J @Nudhul @PurpCat autism isn't relative. Most people who call themselves autistic are, in fact, not autistic. As funny as the joke can be.

@RustyCrab @J @Nudhul @PurpCat being "weird" or going against the grain of society isn't autism either

@cassidyclown @Nudhul @J @PurpCat I conjecture that you are very weird but you're weird for your surroundings which happens to fall into the global average
I think that's how it works

@PurpCat @J @Nudhul @RustyCrab I don't think you can have a meaningful friendship with a group of people you masturbate with, it'll always be based around that transaction. And this is what people who have based their entire identity around cooming will inevitably do.

@cassidyclown @J @Nudhul @RustyCrab also being around the furry sphere during important years of my life genuinely fucked me up. Not even being around internet shitposters who want to wigger out and fight everyone was as bad as being around two faced furries who only want to goon and who see talking to you as some sort of privilege you have (see bsky).

@RustyCrab @J @Nudhul @PurpCat I know I don't know you personally or what problems you're referring to so I might be making some big assumptions, however you seem to have normal levels of cognitive empathy and are able to pick up on social cues (in text) at least. If you're able to communicate "normally" online under a pseudonym, where you're at your most relaxed, but find yourself shutting down irl then it might be a more of a problem of anxiety/depression. And there's a lot in the world to be anxious/depressed about.

@cassidyclown @J @Nudhul @PurpCat that's probably true but I was long suffering problems before I was aware any such term existed. It's somewhat of a comfort to know what the label is outside of something nebulous just being wrong with you or thinking you're genuinely stupid. I think the latter is a lot more depressing on the whole.
Probably correct if misdiagnosed but I don't know how somebody would get into such a maladapted state in the first place if they didn't have the condition. I might not be zoomerbrained enough for that.
